When “I Like To Move It” by Reel 2 Real featuring The Mad Stuntman exploded onto the international scene, it seemed to come out of nowhere. Brash, cartoonish, relentlessly energetic, and unmistakably not cool in the eyes of America’s still-nascent club elite. Yet within months, it was inescapable across Europe’s dancefloors, featured in every gym aerobics class, and, yes, used to sell yogurt on TV (Danone).
